Edinburgh Business Awards Finalist

The Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Business Awards have recognised our contribution to Developing the Young Workforce. We have been shortlisted in this category and the winner will be announced at the awards on the 28th February.

IT Centric strongly believe in helping develop the young workforce. Along with our involvement with the Modern Apprentice Scheme, we are part of Developing the Young Workforce at Currie Community High and have taken part in regular Q&A’s with pupils to provide an insight into the opportunities in the IT sector. We have also welcomed several pupils from Edinburgh schools to undertake work experience within our team.

Next month, we are looking forward to welcoming Jamie Hepburn – Minister for Business, Fair Work and Skills. As part of Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2019 the Minister will visit IT Centric to meet with our current apprentices and team members who previously completed the programme. He’ll learn about the contribution our apprentices make to the tech team and how the programme assists them with their training and development for the work place.

In the mean time we’ll be keeping everything crossed for the announcement of the Winner!
